MERCURY

This beaded bracelet is composed of dark blue aventurine, hand painted decorative bead “Mercury” and sterling silver spacer. The aventurine is a variety of quartz containing small mica flakes, that gives it a sparkling effect so similar to the twinkling of stars in the night sky. Mercury is the closest planet to the Sun. The Romans named the planet after the swift-footed Roman messenger god, Mercury (Latin Mercurius), because it moves across the sky faster than any other planet. In astrology Mercury represents intelligence, astuteness, eloquence and the capacity to act quickly.
